Problems with Logitech Download Assistant are nothing new and people prefer to remove the application altogether. Since you can already download the software for their hardware directly through the website, the hassle of seeing error messages each day isn’t worth it.
Solution 1: Disabling LogiDA from Startup
Logitech Download Assistant, like other programs, tend to start up automatically whenever you boot your computer. It searches for updates in the background while also impacting your CPU during the crucial moments of the startup. A simple workaround if the system doesn’t have the DLL file is to stop the software from starting itself using the task manager.

Note: The registry editor is a powerful tool. Changing keys which you have no knowledge about can damage your computer and even render it unusable. Proceed with caution. It is always wise to back up your registry before you make any changes.
Solution 2: Reinstalling Logitech Device Drivers
If all the above solution doesn’t prove any luck, we can try installing the default drivers for your mouse. Drivers are the main driving force for any hardware. They connect the device and give exclusive control of it to the operating system. We will uninstall the drivers and restart the computer. Upon the restart, the computer will install the default drivers back on your computer. If you get the checkbox “Delete the driver software for this device”, make sure to check if before proceeding so all the driver files are permanently deleted. Note: If the default drivers for the device don’t suit you or are inducing problems, you can download the latest device drivers from Logitech’s website directly. After downloading the drivers to an accessible location, right-click on the device and click “Update”. You should choose to update manually and navigate to the driver you downloaded.
Note: If you have additional Logitech hardware installed on your computer, you should try disabling it as well. Type “appwiz.cpl” in the Run window and a window will pop up where all the programs installed on your computer will be listed. Locate the Logitech software, right-click it and select “Uninstall”.
